Notes: This is the old Monogram
kit. Added True Details cockpit with Mike Grant decals, corrected
the canopy sill, aileron trim tab. Removed incorrect wing walks.
Added CMK ring and bead sight. Should have done something about the wheel wells (maybe the next
one). Decals are from the Aeromaster AVG set.
I think this kit compares very well to the Trumpeter kit here: P-40B Flying Tiger
This one is a 1998 release, but the molding was still pretty crisp.
The cockpit and fixing the cockpit sill adds a lot to the
final effect I think. You can find this kit for around $10.00 and
the TD cockpit is approx. $6.00. Lots of fun for the money! |
