Hi Guys - here are some pics of the 1/16 Phantom II which I finally
got finished.
Looking back now I can't believe this has been nearly 8 months in
the making.
I detailed the engine with a few scratchbuilt bits from Andy's
Pocher journal and also added the truss braces to the chassis. I
also used Dave's website quite a bit for other details such as the
changed layout of the horns and spot on the front apron and the
addition of the emergency starting handle tube etc. The hinges are
cut from those strips you sent me Earl with the exception of the
bonnet centre one which is from the spares box. The door catches
work from both sides but I need to perfect the design a little more,
by adding some return springs, as I notice the handle has dropped on
one of the shots. Other changes to the kit are modifications to
the seats to make them fold and the addition of drink tables in the
backs (not shown on the photos).
