Using the CAD drawing I produced from a full size Navy Hard Hat
Divers Knife and some information received from the Navies supplier
of the Mark V Diving Helmet for scaling, I Machined a scale
knife and sheath to go with a very nice miniature Mark V helmet
I purchased. Knife sheath is of naval brass, the knife handle
is made from copper to match materials in the helmet (original full
size knives have a maple wood handle), the attachment strap is
thinned down leather strap and buckle is of stainless wire.
Both were than mounted to a Teak wood base. For reference the
knife with the scabbard is only 4-1/2" long. |
